Organic Semiconductive Polymer: Verazol® HT Series (P3HT)

Organic Semiconductive Polymer: Verazol? HT Series (P3HT)

The Verazol HT series adopts organic semiconductor P3HT (poly (3-hexylthiophene)) with increased molecular weight control based on Soken's unique polymerization technology. The series features low cost due to an efficient manufacturing process, in addition to molecular weight control and a high degree of regioregularity.

All grades feature regioregularity of 97% or higher. In addition to the standard Mw 40 to 70 K and Mw 90 to 130 K, an extra high molecular weight grade of Mw 400 to 700K is available thanks to the increased control over molecular weight.

Grade Mw Mw/Mn Regio-regularity
Verazol® HT-005 40~70K 1.5~2.5 ≧97%
Verazol® HT-010 90~130K 1.5~3.0 ≧98%
Verazol® HT-030 400~700K 2.0~3.5 ≧98%

Applications

Applications include organic photovoltaics (OPV) and organic field-effective transistors (OFET). For OPV applications, in particular, structural control of bulk heterojunction layers using different grades is expected.
